BR6 Restaurant opened in February 2015 and is the centrepiece of London South East Colleges’ Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College. Part of a national network, Career Colleges work closely with employer partners to provide 14-19 year olds with the skills they need to work in specific industries.
Led by head chef, Jason Main, our students put the skills and theory they learn in the classroom into practice. They also learn more about running a commercial restaurant and working in a professional environment – which will open up a range of exciting career opportunities to them.
Since opening. BR6 has gone from strength to strength, developing an excellent reputation for offering high quality food in a wonderful setting with great service.
All of the tips go towards trips and educational visits for our students.
As a result, we are now expanding and will soon be opening phase 2 of our development, the BR6 Bakehouse. This will offer coffee, cakes and light snacks as well as a range of Kentish produce, artisan breads and pastries for customers to take home.
This exciting expansion will provide our students with further opportunity to develop their skills and will be another great addition to the regeneration of Orpington.
