Breads – Shallot and thyme brioche served with sea salt crystal butter
Starters – Chicory, stilton, red grape, almond, beetroot and rosemary tartin served with a balsalmic caramel – Glass of RedHeads MC1R Blonde – a gorgeously spiced, ripe fruit white with citrus freshness
Mains to share – Lincolnshire Red 28-day beef ribeye steak on the bone, triple cooked chips, gratin dauphinoise, roasted field mushrooms with garlic butter and dressed winter leaves – Glass of First vintage RedHeads 1888 Barossa Shiraz, a stonkingly good vintage – very dark, intensely flavoured with luscious blackberry, liquorice and vanilla spice from the barrel.
Dessert – Sticky toffee pudding, roast pineapple, vanilla cream – Glass of La Font Del Bosc Maury OA, not a RedHeads wine, but is made at their Le Chai Winery and looked after by thier own DWP – the same guys as Red Heads!! Its truly intense, sweet, complex and long.
